Goodbye Virginia Beach

The 2012 Rush Festival is officially over. The U14 Festival wrapped up today in Virginia Beach.  In the days featured games, the Colorado Rush boys knocked off Rush Select 1-0. After a rough start to the week (5-1 loss to Virginia), the Colorado team reeled off three straight wins. In the other two boys games, Iowa surprised Virginia with a 2-0 win and despite playing their best soccer of the week, the Washington boys lost to Georgia 3-2.

On the girls side, the Rush Select girls avenged a loss to the Virginia girls earlier in the week with a 3-1 win. After a scoreless first half, the Alaska Rush girls defense was finally broken by Washington as they won in their matchup.

Overall, the time spent in Virginia Beach was a wonderful experience for all. Special thanks to the Virginia Rush staff for all of their hard work over the last few weeks.
