The Farwest regional tournament has come to a close as the last of the Rush teams was eliminated from competitions today as the U13 Hawaii Rush boys fell 4-0 in their semifinal matchup with Banat Gold of Arizona. However, the Rush were very present at the game as the Hawaii Rush teams still in Arizona were all in attendance making their voices heard and chearing on the Rush!

Rough Day at Region IV
(06.22.12)
Friday was a rough day on Rush teams competing at the Region IV championships in Phoenix, Arizona. Eleven teams of the 19 Rush teams in attendance had succesfully navigated through bracket play to advance to the quarterfinal round today. However, the quarters were a different story as the club suffered 10 losses in 11 games. The lone winner on the day were the U13 Hawaii Rush boys whose 5-4 overtime win over Mt. Hamilton Atlas (CA-N) was one of the most exciting of the tournament to date. The 13's will take on Banat 99 Gold of Arizona in (who knocked off the U13 New Mexico Rush 2-0) in the semifinals on Saturday morning. Some highlights from the game are below.
In other games, Defending national champions U19 Colorado girls lost in a heartbreaking shootout dto Rio Vista (NM) that saw every player take a penalty, as did defending champion U18 NM Rush boys who lost to Players SC (NV) 5-1.
The U12 Hawaii girls, U14 New Mexico boys and U16 Oregon girls all lost 1-0 matches that could have gone to either team.
