Rush Fest 2014 Coming to an End
The 2014 Rush Fest is mere hours from completion after a week full of games, training, classroom sessions, chanting and even a trip to the water park.
Wednesday was an off day designed for players and coaches to recover from the first few days of playing. Many of the teams took the day to visit 'Water World' at one time the biggest water park in the country.
Thursday night, hundreds of parents gathered to listen to former Oregon Rush Technical Director John O'Sullivan, author of, 'Changing the Game Project' talk about the role of parents in sports. At the same time on the other side of the hotel, perhaps the most anticipated moment of the week was happening in the midst of 700 kids running around trading trinkets; the awarding of the Rush Spirit Award. For the second consecutive year, Virginia Rush, were crowned champions of the spirit award, and the kids from Beach will be taking the award home from Colorado!
There have been some changes to the final game day line up so for complete schedule, download the brand new Rush Fest App available on both Apple and Android stores. Thank you to all of the players, coaches and staff for making the 2014 Rush Fest the best yet!
