Welcome, Merida Rush!

 2012.07.17 - As of Monday, the Rush are excited to introduce the Merida Rush to the Rush family. Merida is located in the Southern tip of Mexico right along the Gulf of Mexico, Jair Vasquez will be overseeing the program as the South American Technical Director.  The idea of the Merida Rush is to promote the teaching of children and youth soccer similarly to the way it is taught in the US and Europe, having begun to build a roster for each of the six different age groups already.  

As Vasquez quoted, ”The key to success in the program is to make sure all the coaches, managers, officers, parents and everyone involved directly and indirectly with the club understand the role and importance of developing these kids the correct way.” Vasquez and Merida decided that by working with the Rush, this program would be able to gain valuable knowledge and experience.  By teaming with the Rush program, they will be provided with technical and operational support through a club with a proven track record in developing players.  Good luck to the Merida-Rush and welcome to the Rush organization!
