Rush Fest Hits the Beach!

Day 2 of the first ever U13 Rush Fest was one to remember in Virginia Beach today. A morning filled with competitive games, an afternoon of training sessions and an educational lecture on the Rush Core Values by Virginia's Tyler Benham was all just lead up to the evenings festivites. The locale of this particular Festival lends itself to a unique opportunity; Sand Soccer. 

For many it was their first time on sand, for others, the sand was as natural as grass. Teams were mixed and matched and the passion for the game was evident in all as two hours after kickoff, players, coaches, and parents left the beach covered in sand! The highlight of the night was without question the bicycle kick goal scored by Michigan Rush coach Angel Calzadilla in the coaches game, a classic goal if there ever was one.

Day 3 will feature the second round of games and the annual Rush Fest Social where players and coaches exchange gifts from their local states and regions. The evening will also feature the now annual Rush Fest '22' game that features players who exhibit the Rush Way.
