Rush Soccer and the Inspireum Soccer Awards are looking for the countries most inspirational players. Among the semifinalists named is Warren Roberson from New Mexico Rush.
He always knew his team supported him on and off the field, but after a tragic accident in March 2011, he truly realized the extent of their support. After falling over 20 feet while rock climbing before practice, Warren found himself fighting for his life. Though he was told he would never walk again, he defied the odds six months after the accident and walked out after a rehabilitation session. Today, Warren is showing the same support for his team as they did while he was in the hospital. He is able to jog and kick a soccer ball a short distance and the future looks great. His team won the state championship this past November and Warren was well enough to congratulate them on the soccer field. He has inspired not only his team, but also everyone who hears his story.
