Rush Soccer and the Inspireum Soccer Awards are looking for the countries most inspirational players. Among the semifinalists named is Mason Ruff from Kansas Rush.
Support and encouragement are things Mason is definitely familiar with. Complications during birth caused him to experience arm use limitations and since a young age his parents have always shown support when he went out for sports teams. Having a father who played college football, Mason has always been aware of the importance of sports teams and athletics. Throughout all of this, he has worked to be the best soccer player he can. He played on a division one-club team for the past three years and helps coach younger soccer players. Mason teaches people within his community “the value of hard work, setting your goals, and staying focused on what you want to accomplish. Never letting anything get in the way of your goals and that a positive approach to your goal is always the best avenue to success,” says dad Gregory Ruff. He is a true inspiration.
