U14 Rush Fest - Day 4
Day 4 of the U14 Rush Festival is in the books and final game schedule has been set.
Morning games were very competitive following the footsteps of the first several days. Both Select teams remain undefeated going into the final day.
In the afternoon, Sports Psychologist Kendra Auston led the players through several team building activities including the Human Machine and the Human Pretzal.
The afternoon field sessions were all about skill. 5v5 games were the featured event and all players were able to showcase their talent on the ball. Moves, diving headers, attempted bicycle kicks and nutmegs were on display from the opening whistle.
In the evening, a new tradition was born as the 'Festival 22' game took place. 1-2 players from each team at the Festival were brought together to play a 30 minute friendly in front of the remaining players, coaches and parents. The boys game was highlighted by 2 goals from the gray team resulting in hundreds of fans storming the field to celebrate with the goal-scorer. The girls game was called after just 5 minutes due to severe lightning in the area.
