U14 Rush Fest - Day 3
Day three of the U14 Rush Fest in Albuquerque, New Mexico was a HOT one! Games were very competitive on both sides of the ball as players have acclimated to the altitude and the dry heat of the Southwest. After blowing out their competition on day 1, the U13 Rush Select teams were put to the test by the host New Mexico Nike teams. Both Select teams would win their games, but both had to earn their wins.
Afternoon sessions included functional training designed for players to spend time working on specific skills to the position they play in the field. Goalkeeper Coach Brian Lux (pictured leading a chant) led the day's classroom session with the topic of 'Game Analysis' using the USA Women vs. Brazil in the recent World Cup Quarterfinal as an example.
In the evening, teams were given the night off to enjoy a local amusement park and enjoy meeting members from other Rush clubs.
