Mumbai Rush is one of our fastest growing international partners and Rush Soccer is committed to assisting its Indian partner in order to achieve common objectives. With that being said, Rush Soccer and Mumbai Rush are very proud to officially announce Mitch Bickmore as the Mumbai Rush Technical Director, a new position that surely will benefit both parties. Bickmore holds a USSF A License, USSF National Youth License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and he is a part of the Rush Family since 2004. Mitch has much experience in soccer and specifically within the organization since he has been involved in different Rush domestic clubs such as Kansas Rush (2004-2009) and New Jersey Rush (2012-2013) as well as time with the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club (2009-2011).
The new Mumbai Rush Technical Director will depart to India within the next month and he is going to reside there for the next six months. The long term plan for Bickmore (at right with Rush Soccer President Tim Schulz) is to go back and forth between Mumbai and United States for the next three to five years to reinforce a solid soccer organization during that period. “It’s going to be my first time in India and I am excited about this challenging project,” ensures Bickmore. “During the first month I need to get used to living in a different culture and country and after that adaptation period I will work hard to achieve the goals of Mumbai Rush and Rush Soccer,” adds the new Mumbai Rush Technical Director. The ultimate objective for Mumbai Rush is to spread the “Rush Way” all over the Mumbai region and the rest of India, bringing as many kids as possible into the club and strengthen the Rush Values.Prior to departing to Mumbai, Bickmore visited the Rush Soccer headquarters in Colorado to personally meet the Rush Soccer President and C.E.O, Tim Schulz and Director of Operations, Michael Nicol. He also used that time to meet Colorado Rush Technical Director, Erik Bushey and the rest of the staff of Colorado Rush. “The experience of visiting Colorado Rush has been awesome because it’s the main club and I have learnt a lot of their unique way to work and understand soccer,” says Mitch Bickmore. “I highly recommend other Rush Soccer Technical Directors to visit Colorado Rush in order to discover what Rush Soccer represents. After meeting Rush Soccer’s headquarters I am even more excited and motivated to begin my adventure in India. I am excited beyond words!” concludes Bickmore.
