Coaching Education trip to Madrid
Rush European Coaches Education Trip
This week, 13 Rush coaches fly to Madrid, Spain to take part in the second Rush International Coaching Education trip. Just over a year ago, 12 coaches went to Paris, France and Amsterdam, Holland, to learn from some of top coaches in Northern Europe, including visits to Paris St. Germain, Lille, Ajax and Clairefontaine the home of the French Football Federation.
This year's trip is looking to match and surpass that experience, hosted by adidas and the International Training Program. The 9-day trip will commence with the coaches
hitting the ground running, visiting the home of La Liga club, Rayo Vallecano to observe training and speak with the coaches of their academy program. If that was not enough for the first 24 hours, they head straight to the Vicente Calderon, to see Athletico Madrid take on Espanyol, to keep up their Second place in the top division.
The trip continues with visits to other academy's including Gatefe and Atletico Madrid and to finish off the first half of the trip, attending the Champions League round of 16 game of Real Madrid vs. Shalke.
The second half of the trp ramps up with an intensive education program at Real Madrid Training Ground with meetings, lectures and game/training observations at the worlds most famous club. The last few days put an amazing stamp on the trip with a visit to historic Toledo, a visit to the Spanish Football Federation to see the Museum, training facility and the World Cup and European Championship trophies, a tour of the Sanotago Burnebau and then finally the cherry on the top. Attending Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, El Classico, and perhaps the biggest league game in the world.
