Martin Signs with Tampa Bay

Former Colorado Rush and University of North Carolina at Charlotte Goalkeeper Dave Martin has been signed to play with VSI Tampa Bay FC of the USL Pro league. Prior to signing with Tampa, Dave had spent a year with the Atlanta Silverback and the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. He was an Academic All-Conference student at UNC Charlotte along with being named to various team and season long teams of recognition. A four year starter and captain while with the Colorado Rush, Dave offered his thoughts on heading to Tampa:

"I'm very excited to be joining VSI Tampa Bay FC. Its a great opportunity for me to push my career forward and I'm pleased to be joining a club with such high ambitions." 

“Dave was a great keeper and leader. Dependable, trustworthy and wonderfully committed both in his effort to train and most certainly in his work while training. He was a key cog in an excellent team. It is awesome to see him take another step towards reaching his goals,” said Colorado Rush Technical Director Erik Bushey. 

The USLPro season begins March 30th when VSI Tampa travels to Phoenix FC Wolves. Congratulations Dave and best of luck in Tampa!
