Todd Dunivant is an MLS Champion once again after the LA Galaxy defeated Houston Dynamo 1-0 in the MLS Cup on Sunday night. Todd and the star laden Galaxy scored in the 72nd minute when Robbie Keane sent Landon Donovan through on goal and the USA Captain finished with the outside of his right foot for the first and only goal of the game.
Dunivant (pictured just above and to left of Cup) and the LA defense held Houston to three shots on goal and were solid throughout the night.
The win marks Dunivant's third MLS Cup title and first since 2005. The win is the third Cup title for LA Galaxy.
Also making an appearance in the game was fellow Rush alum Colin Clark who came on in the 78th minute for Houston. Despite the limited play time, Clark created some decent chances for Houston as they pushed for the equalizer late in the game.
Both Dunivant and Clark are rumored to appear at Colorado Rush Alumni week starting December 16th. Check out www.coloradorush.com for more details.
