Rush Soccer and the Inspireum Soccer Awards are looking for the countries most inspirational players. Among the semifinalists named is Caitlin Fryer from New York Rush.
Caitlin is a teammate to many as she holds positions on the Pelham High School women’s varsity soccer team, the New York Rush Patriots 97 team, the Eastern New York State Olympic Development Program 96 women’s team, and the South African U17 and U20 Women’s National soccer teams. In between her monthly commutes to Johannesburg, Caitlin finds time to be an honor roll student. The South African national team also makes frequent trips to rural villages, to teach women there about how they can empower themselves through sport. Caitlin helps these women see what life can be like outside the village, if one works extraordinarily hard and applies themselves toward their goals.
