The dates and location for the 2013 Rush Festival have been finalized. Colorado Rush will host the
Festival in Denver beginning July 15th and running through July 25th.
Glenn McWilliams, the Chairman of Colorado Rush BOD shares what he loves about RushFest and why he is excited to have the event in Denver, Colorado.
"For me, soccer is all about opportunities. During a match; creating them, recognizing them, capitalizing on them. On and off of the field, we all love for our children to participate in soccer for the opportunities to learn life lessons. And, more than any other club, more than other youth sport options out there, Rush Soccer provides unique opportunities for our young players to grow, mature, improve and learn.
RushFest is one of those spectacular opportunities. It is a chance for our players to come together with hundreds of other same-age soccer players from around the country to learn the Rush Way, to study the 11 Rush Core Values, and to spend most of a week living them in a fun, supportive, soccer-rich environment. RushFest is an exciting opportunity for our kids to experience how soccer can unite people who may be from different places and different walks of life, but are really the same as us – and even wear the same uniforms!
The 2013 RushFest is a huge opportunity for Colorado Rush to try to honor the excellent work of our previous hosts in Kansas, New Mexico and Virginia. My family and I are excited to help host RushFest for the first time, and look forward to making it as fun and memorable as past Fests have been for my boys and family. I hope you will join us."
For the third time, the Rush Fest will be held for two different age groups as both the U12 and U14 age groups will each have a five day Festival full of games, training sessions and social events.
“The Rush Festival has grown into a truly unique event. With two successful events back to back last year, we are excited to be able to offer this experience again to both the U12 and U14 age groups in 2012,” commented Rush Soccer President & CEO, Tim Schulz. “With the great facilities and wonderful location that Virginia Rush has to offer, we are confident we will put on the best Festival thus far.”
U12 teams will kick off the festivities on Monday July 15th and play their final games on Friday the 19th. U14 teams will begin their Festival the evening of the 21st with the traditional Opening Ceremony and will conclude 25th.
