It's State Cup season across the country (hurray!) and the first state to finalize teams for 2014 regionals, was the host of the 2012 Far West Regionals, Hawaii.
A great showing by Hawaii Rush resulted in 5 teams being crowned as State Cup Champions and three others finishing as runners up.
The older Hawaii boys teams had great success over the weekend as the U14 and U15 boys earned Championships and a return trip to Regionals after falling in the group stage in 2013. Joining them will be the U16 and U17 boys who will look to make a splash this year. On the girls side will be the U13 HI Rush girls who will look to improve on their Quarterfinal showing at the 2012 Far West Regional tournament.
U13 State Cup Champions
2nd place finishers from Hawaii Rush include the U14 and U16 girls along with the U18 boys.
Far West Regionals (Region IV) will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico June 16-22. Good luck Hawaii Rush teams!
With the spring success of Hawaii Rush and the championships already earned from the fall, 14 State Cup Champions have already been crowned across Rush Nation with many states yet to finish completion. A record 50 Rush teams competed at Regional tournaments last summer, can we break that number in 2014? Stay tuned to rushsoccer.com all spring long to find out!
