The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team will come together for a training camp from April 15-22 at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
U.S. Soccer Development Coach Jaime Frias will run the camp and has called up 24 players, all born in 2000 including Bri Martinez (NM Rush) and Sarah Piper (TX Rush). This group of players is at the start of a two-year cycle as U-18s before transitioning to U-20s in 2019 and will form the core of the group that will eventually attempt to qualify for the 2020 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
In its most recent action, the U.S. U-18 WNT played three games in England in late February, defeating England 3-1 and Norway 5-0 before tying England 0-0 in the rematch.
Good luck at camp next week girls!
