Hawaii Rush's Aislyn Crowder has been called back ino the U16 Girls' National Team March 18-25 for a training game in San Diego. Crowder made her first appearance with the 16's earlier this season and is the first Hawaii Rush player to play at the national team level! Aislyn has also been a regular with the Rush Select program the past few years.
"Aislyn has put a lot of effort into training and is looking forward to impressing the coaching staff when she goes into camp," said Hawaii Rush Technical Director and Rush Soccer National Technical Director Arian Hoxha. "She has worked very hard on improving physically and mentally when she has to defend. She is really looking forward to the opportunity."
Head coach Jaime Frias has called up 24 players, all born in 2002. This group of players moved up from the U-14 level last year and will spend two years as the U-16 GNT before moving on to the U-18s. These players are all age-eligible for the 2018 U-17 Women’s World Cup, which has an age cut-off of players born on or after January 1, 2001, but will eventually be the core age group for the team that will attempt to qualify for the U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2022.
