Emerson Layne (U15 ECNL) has been invited to attend the U15 Girls National Team Camp in Carson, California February 11-18. This is the first national team invite for Emerson! Layne, a defender, will be one of 40 players at camp looking to form the core of the next U17 team slated for the 2020 U17 Women's World Cup.
"I am very thankful for the opportunity to go to my first US National Team Camp. I am super excited and want to thank all the coaches who have worked with me in the past," exclaimed Emerson. "I plan on learning a lot, working hard, having lots of fun, and doing my best!"
"Emerson is a unique player and an incredibly hard working kid. Her strengths include tackling, passing and an attitude to outwork and outsmart her opponent. Emerson will represent herself and the Colorado Rush to the highest quality in the upcoming camp," said her U13/14 Head Coach Russell Finch.
Good luck in California Emerson!!
